Preakness Party Food: Here's What To Make

The Preakness Stakes will be run this weekend, and if you can't make it to the race itself, you might want to host a party to watch it on TV instead. And if you're having folks over, you can't let them go hungry! These treats and drinks are sure to leave them satisfied as you wait to see which horse will claim victory on race day.

Crispy Crab Balls

Come on, you can't celebrate an occasion that's bursting with Maryland pride and not include a crab recipe! These tasty treats are made with just five ingredients but are super indulgent -- they're sure to steal the show.

Ham and Colby Sliders

Who says that hearty party food has to be difficult? These easy sliders will only take 30 minutes, and 10-15 of those are spent baking them. You may want to double the recipe depending on how many people are at your party; folks will definitely want seconds!

Black Eyed Susan Cocktail

Even if you're not at Pimlico yourself, you can still feel like a fancy attendee with the classic cocktail that the event is known for. What's great about this recipe is that you can always tweak it a bit to make it just the way you and your guests like.

Grilled Peaches with Blue Cheese and Honey

Who says fruity treats can't feel indulgent? This one will really wow your guests, and all you need to do is cut and grill fruit before adding some toppings. This recipe also recommends other stone fruit if you want to add some variety.

Old Bay Wings

Of course, not all of us want to feel fancy -- some of us would rather get our hands dirty devouring chicken wings! Well, there's nothing better for such craving than Old Bay wings made right in the oven. Don't be stingy with the seasoning!
