5 Dog-Friendly Spots to Hang Here in MD

on

Life's just more fun when your dog is with you -- but of course, not every place you go is dog-friendly. Still, there are plenty of spots in Maryland that welcome furbabies! If you can't bear the thought of leaving Fluffy at home while you're having fun, these locations are perfect for you.

Barcstoberfest

Want to join in on the biggest dog party in Baltimore City while raising funds for animals in need? Sounds like a win-win to us! Come on down to Patterson Park on October 26, where the 20th annual Barcstoberfest will take place. It'll have a 5k race, a beer garden, and most importantly, plenty of pups.

Anne Arundel County's Dog Beaches

A few of the county's beaches are dog-friendly, giving pets and owners alike a chance to explore the great outdoors! Downs Park in Pasadena and Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis both welcome man's best friend. Be sure to read up on the rules and regulations so everyone can stay safe and have fun.

Local Wineries and Vineyards

We love this amazing guide put together by Dogs of Charm City! It indicates which local wineries and vineyards welcome dogs, and even if you can bring them indoors or if they need to be outside. It also indicates which spots don't allow pups, so be sure to leave them at home if you're planning a visit.

Bark Social

Going to a bar or cafe that allows dogs is one thing, but Bark Social is designed specifically for you to bring your furry friend along! Humans can enjoy food and cocktails, beer, and more, while pups can socialize and make new friends. There are even goodies for sale to treat your dog while you have fun.

Ocean City

Bark -- er, mark your calendars! Ocean City allows dogs on the beach and boardwalk each year between October 1 and April 30. Your pup can enjoy a run by the water and sniff the smells of the boardwalk on leash. You can also let Fido run off leash at the OC Dog Playground.
