March in Maryland: What's on the Calendar?

February is drawing to a close, and we're getting closer and closer to springtime! It's not quite time to ditch the coats and snow boots, but that doesn't mean there aren't fun things to do in the cold. Here's what's going on in the state of Maryland for the next month:

Chicago at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center: March 3-8

If you loved the movie, now's your chance to see the show live and on stage in Baltimore! What's not to like--it's got romance, jazz, crime and some incredible dance sequences. Get those tickets now, Marylanders.

St. Patty's Day Boardwalk 5K: March 14

There's more to the beach than just summertime sunbathing--and more than St. Patrick's Day than wearing green! Register for the Ocean City 5K and get moving down the boardwalk. Afterwards, runners can treat themselves to food and music at Shenanigan's Pub.

St. Patrick's Day Parade: March 15

The Baltimore tradition continues! Catch it at 2 pm, beginning at the Washington Monument. If parades aren't your thing, check out the site for information about the city's pub fundraisers and breakfasts to help you kick off your St. Patrick's Day the right way.

Last Laugh: A Murder Mystery Comedy Show: March 15

Ever felt like you deserve to be the star of a show? Now you can! This is a comedy show, a murder mystery and an interactive performance all in one. Help the hilarious stars of Last Laugh figure out who the killer is--it might even be you.

Life Through a Lens: Documenting Earth's Wildest Places: March 19

The Baltimore Aquarium's already rocking it out by extending their Fridays After 5 prices to year-round. But now you can catch Doug Allan, the award-winning cameraman behind the crazy nature footage you see in programs like Frozen Planet and Planet Earth. What's it like filming polar bears up close? You'll have to come and find out!

Cinderella at the Modell Performing Arts Center: March 28

Princesses, get ready. The Ballet Theater of Maryland is putting on Cinderella, and if you need something else to satisfy you after the new Disney version comes out, you've come to the right place. Ballerinas and princesses? Someone's granted your wish!
