The Brushed Nickel Silver and Polished Chrome Crab Doorbell Ringer was designed by Michael Healy, an accomplished Rhode Island artisan, known for his Unique Doorbell Ringers. Michael recalls his childhood days on the shores of Cape Cod with this Crab Doorbell Ringer. The Crab Doorbell Ringer is cast in solid nickel, which accounts for its substantial weight. It was hand-crafted using the age old art of foundry casting. During the foundry casting process molten nickel silver is heated to over 2000ºF then carefully poured into a handmade sand mold. This mold is used only once, giving each Doorbell Ringer its individual character. The Crab Doorbell Ringer is given a brushed nickel finish and then polished to a chrome shine. Afterwards, it is coated with a clear lacquer to protect its original finish. Your Doorbell Ringer is signed by the artist, Michael Healy, confirming its authenticity and quality craftsmanship.
