Madame Maryland's Horoscope: December 2022

Happy December, all! The year 2022 is almost over, but we've still got one month ahead of us. What could be in store as we prepare for all that lies ahead in 2023? Well, Madame Maryland looked into her crystal ball -- here's what she saw.

Longing for some purpose? A little volunteer work could be exactly what you need to feel like you're a part of something bigger. Maryland is home to some amazing nonprofits, and you'll feel good about giving back this holiday season.

Is someone in your life feeling a bit left out? Now's a great time to extend your hand in friendship, Taurus. Your cozy and comfortable nature makes it easy for others to open up and enjoy themselves, so use that talent to its fullest.

What's a habit that you'd like to get into? Running every morning? Learning a new language? Well, you don't need to wait for New Year's Day to start a new goal. Use December as a time to try a few desired habits out and see if you can make them stick!

If at first you don't succeed, you know what they say -- try, try again! A little persistence could really pay off for you this month, so don't get discouraged if you find yourself not getting the desired results just yet.

Want to really wow everyone at the table this holiday season? Why not try your hand at baking something for the crowd? Whether you're a pro or a newbie, there's a baking project for every skill level, and you might discover that you get asked to make it every year.

When people ask what you want this holiday season, don't beat around the bush or pretend you don't want or need anything! Just be straightforward and polite -- everyone will really appreciate it. After all, they want to make sure you'll be happy with what you get!

Is it time to silence your notifications for awhile? Your devices are great, but they can also be a little overwhelming, and there's nothing wrong with unplugging for a little while, just until you feel like yourself again.

What helps you recharge during busy, stressful times? Whether it's heading to a movie theater, taking a hot bath, or watching a football game, it's good to keep in mind that a recharge is always deserved and never has to be earned!

You don't intend on giving out any cookie-cutter gifts this year, Sag. Want to be unique? Get your friends and family experiences instead of objects, like plays, games, animal experiences, or tours. They'll never forget how much fun they had!

You have no problem speaking your mind, but this month, it's a good idea to think about how you're presenting that information. Are you being tactful? Or are you just being blunt? Directness is good, but keep in mind that people have feelings, too!

Nostalgic for holiday seasons of past years? Why not try and inject some of that magic from your childhood into this year's festivities? Pull out the old ornaments from when you were a kid or scour Ebay for decorations that you loved back in the day.

You're great at telling others how great they are, but when's the last time you gave yourself a compliment like that? Take a moment to look at yourself in the mirror and give yourself kudos for learning a new skill or getting through a tough time. You deserve it!
