Madame Maryland's Horoscope: December 2020

Happy December, Marylanders! The year is just about over, and we have a single month left before we flip over the calendar to 2021. What can you expect before it's all said and done? Madame Maryland looked into her crystal ball, and here's what she saw:

'Just okay' isn't good enough for you, Aries. You're looking for great, or even perfect! But in your quest to be the best, don't forget that you shouldn't be too hard on yourself. Knowing that you put in your absolute best effort is a huge reward (and definitely worth bragging about).

Life's all about compromise. Even if you can't get exactly what you want, Taurus, you can get pretty close if you're willing to be flexible. Sometimes you might be tempted to be stubborn and not give way, but this month, you'll be glad you decided against your bullish nature!

Are the winter blues hitting you harder than usual, Gemini? Those early nights that seem to last forever can really make you feel sad and tired! It's important to pay attention to your mental and emotional state at this time of year. Keep your space well-lit and don't forget to check in with the people you love!

Just because you want it doesn't mean that you need it. Sure, all these holiday sales are so, so tempting! But before you hit 'add to cart', have an honest moment with yourself about whether it's actually going to be useful or if it's just going to sit around in your closet. You may be surprised by how much you don't actually have to buy.
Deep breath, Leo. It's easy to get overwhelmed, especially during a year like this, but you truly do have the capability to get through anything. Make a list to boost your confidence to start off the month -- a list of things you're good at, or things that make you feel better when you're down. Tape it to your mirror or keep it on your side table!

You're in the mood to lead rather than follow this month. If there's a cause or idea you're passionate about, December is the perfect time to rally your troops and get everyone on board! Spread the word via social media, write to your elected officials, and make a plan for how you'll achieve your goals next year.

Have you been making a list and checking it twice, Libra? You're feeling inspired to get organized, and December is the best time to ensure that all the gifts are wrapped, the cards are sent, and that you're heading into the new year with your I's dotted and T's crossed.

Does the thought of getting everybody the perfect gift feel completely overwhelming? You might be getting too wrapped up in what everyone thinks or how they might judge your ability to master the holidays! Know that the people who care about you will love anything you give them, promise.

You know what they say -- everything in moderation, including moderation. It's the perfect time of year to let loose a little bit! There's a difference between overdoing it and properly indulging, and we give you full permission to do the latter. It's the holiday season at the end of a long hard year, after all.

Don't go into the new year with an old grudge, Cap! Are you still worried or annoyed about some issue or person that's long out of your life? It's time to let it go. Instead of griping about that thing you hate yet again, make a commitment to just bury the hatchet and move on with your life.

No, you don't have to say yes to everything that's asked of you, Aquarius. You might be happy to help out as often as you can, but there can come a point where you're neglecting your own needs or wants. Don't get there this month! Use December to practice saying no (aka saying yes to some peace in your life).

Expensive, luxe gifts aren't all they're cracked up to be. This season, you might get more out of something made by hand and with love than something that costs a whole paycheck! It might be a cliche to say the greatest gifts are from the heart, but hey, it's a cliche for a reason.
