What good is summer if you can't make it to a concert, music festival or show? There are plenty of amazing shows playing in venues big and small all over Maryland this summer, but it can be hard to sift through the dozens and dozens of show to find the very best ones. Don't worry-- Route One Apparel has taken care of it for you! Here are some of the concerts you can't miss while the weather's warm:
My Morning Jacket, 7/14: The melodic music makers are making their way to Merriweather! (Whew, too many M's.) Seriously, if you aren't hypnotized by the vocals of Jim James, we don't even know what to say to you.
Gorillaz, 7/17: Cartoons ain't just for kids. The animated band is going to be drawing (heh) crowds at Merriweather this summer! Will you be there, too? (How does a cartoon band do a concert, anyway? We honestly can't wait to find out.)

Idina Menzel, 7/18: If you can't get enough of the Frozen soundtrack, well, you're not alone. You know Idina Menzel is going to pack the Lyric when she's there next month, and if you've got a ticket, don't let it go! (And if you're getting a little tired of hearing Queen Elsa, we're pretty sure she's gonna sing other stuff, too.)
alt-j, 7/27: The kings of quirk's "In Cold Blood" is getting lots of airplay on WTMD, and if their tunes are getting stuck in your head, there's no way you can miss their Merriweather Post Pavillion show!

Coldplay, 8/6: Honestly, how many of us haven't been obsessed with Coldplay since like, 2002? It's like every single song they write is just designed to get stuck in your head for decades. Get all those earworms in one place by seeing them at FedEx Field in Landover, MD. We bet it'll be...dare we say...Paradise.
Mary J. Blige, 8/13: Girl power? Try woman power! There's a reason this is called the Strength of a Woman Tour, and even though it's probably not because of the strength of that voice, it might as well be. Catch her in Baltimore in August!

Goo Goo Dolls, 8/22: There's more to the Goo Goo Dolls than "Iris", we promise--and they'll deliver on that promise at Pier Six Pavillion this August! (They've got guest Phillip Phillips opening for them, too!) The perfect way to close out the summer season before, you know, school starts up again and you don't have every night free to go out to concerts. Not bad!
