Add Old Bay To Your Thanksgiving Dishes!

on

If there's one thing we Marylanders will add to any meal on any occasion, it's Old Bay! This spice has a true hold on us, and the fact that most Thanksgiving dinners don't include it won't phase us -- we're here to add it to our favorite dishes anyway. So how can you incorporate a little bit more of that delicious blend to your Thanksgiving feast? We've got a few suggestions.

Veggies

Most of us tend to appreciate vegetables a bit more once we get older. But we would really, really appreciate veggies if they were all roasted with Old Bay! This recipe is the perfect way to brighten up sweet potatoes, cauliflower, and more.

Mac and Cheese

Sure, your gathering probably includes mac and cheese in some form. But does it include crabby Old Bay mac and cheese? We bet this is going to be a game changer! This recipe comes from McCormick itself, so you know they know what's what.

Turkey

We can't forget about the star of the show! If you're feeling ready to show off your skills and keep it spicy all the while, you can try this turkey. This Old Bay turkey boil recipe includes a video to help the steps feel a bit less daunting.

Beer Can Chicken

Of course, not every person is a big turkey fan. If chicken is more of your thing, we've got good news -- McCormick has a recipe for making beer can Old Bay chicken with fellow Maryland icon Flying Dog. Intrigued? Try it for yourself.

Stuffing

Instead of putting the Old Bay on or in the poultry, you can do it for the stuffing instead! This is a great way to add another punch of flavor to one of the most savory sides of the Thanksgiving meal.

Cupcakes

Would you dare try a buttercream cupcake topped with Old Bay? If you're a true Marylander, we bet you'd be willing to take on this delicious challenge! Shake things up this Thanksgiving by bringing these spicy and sweet cupcakes to the table.
