Now that spring is here and the weather is fine, you may be thinking that it's high time to head to a baseball game at Camden Yards. And you'd be right! But if it's been awhile since you've been to the stadium -- or if you've never been at all -- you may not be sure exactly what to bring. We've got your bag! Here's what you should have on hand to make the most of your baseball game.
1. The right bag
Camden Yards will let you bring in one bag. You can opt for a fanny pack or clutch purse no larger than 5” x 7", or a clear plastic bag no larger than 12" x 6" x 12", according to the ballpark's website. If you want to store your other stuff in anything other than your pocket, this is what to opt for.
2. Credit/debit cards
The park has gone cashless, so be sure to bring your cards instead. You can also use Google or Apple Pay at concession stands.
3. Sunscreen
The sun can beat down pretty fiercely on Baltimore in the spring and summer! Don't bring home a sunburn -- slather on the sunscreen before and during the game.
4. Snacks
There are plenty of tasty food options at Camden Yards, but it's usually more cost effective to bring your own. Per the park's website, you can bring individual snack portions, as long as they can go inside that single bag we mentioned earlier.
5. Water bottles
Factory sealed water bottles are okay to bring as long as they're not frozen. Cans and glass bottles are not permitted.
6. Hats
Want to actually see the game? Bring a baseball cap so the sun doesn't get in your eyes, even up in the back row seats. They're also the perfect thing to get signed if you get the opportunity to meet some players.
7. Signs
Yes, you can bring signs to cheer on the players or announce your birthday/wedding/graduation/etc. You can display them between innings and before and after the game.
