5 Irish Eateries in Maryland to Enjoy This St. Patrick's Day

on

St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner, and if you don't feel like peeling your own potatoes and steaming your own cabbage, you should take advantage of the fact that Maryland has a wide array of Irish pubs and restaurants! Enjoy a nice pint, try some tasty food, and celebrate the wearing of the green at one of these local spots.

An Poitin Stil

Want to feel transported to a real Irish pub that's right out of the last century? Head to Timonium, where the Stil awaits you. It has a huge menu packed with traditional faves like shepherd's pie, creative treats like Irish nachos, and plenty of drink specials. They also feature live music if you want to enjoy local acts!

The Kent House

Yes, a traditional Irish pub is right off the circle in Towson! This cozy pub is sure to give you the feeling of being across the Atlantic; be sure to try one of their many Irish-inspired starters the next time you want to grab a beer with your friends.

Guinness Open Gate Brewery

The Guinness brewery in Dublin has been around for hundreds of years, but now it has a sister location -- the first American Guinness brewery-- right here in Halethorpe! It's not technically a restaurant, but there's almost as much to eat as there is to drink in the taproom and beer garden.

The James Joyce Irish Pub

Named after one of the most famous Irish authors in all of literary history, this downtown Baltimore pub is the perfect place to go if you can't catch a plane to Dublin for St. Patricks' Day. They're offering a St. Patrick's brunch buffet that is sure to keep you satisfied, but if you'd rather avoid the holiday rush, stop by for a pint or a specialty cocktail!

McGinty's Public House

Silver Spring can boast an Irish restaurant that's serving up classic Irish options like bangers and mash or fish and chips but also offers sandwiches and burgers, pasta dishes, and tasty desserts like sticky toffee pudding. Want to go on the weekend? This spot offers Irish-inspired brunch as well!
