These leggings are true to size. The XL are equivalent to a women's size 16-18. I'm 5/4" and they are only slightly long in the ankle, but nothing I'd need to tailor. Wide waistband.

The leggings are great. Glad I did not get them too tight, when they stretch they are a bit see through.
