MD Grunge Flag shirt: a distressed Maryland flag t-shirt and long sleeve in black, made for Maryland natives and anyone proud to rep the Old Line State.
Some flags look better with a little wear on them. Maryland’s is one of them. It’s loud, it’s unmistakable, and you can spot it from across a parking lot, a stadium, or a crab feast. In a 2001 survey of 72 North American flags, vexillologists ranked it fourth best in design quality, which tracks with how every Marylander feels about it anyway.
The flag has been official since 1904, but the design itself goes back centuries. It’s the family banner of the Calverts, the Lords Baltimore who founded the colony, joined with the arms of the Crossland family. That’s a lot of history to wear on a Tuesday.
This one is for the people who wear Maryland on their sleeve. It’s the shirt for tailgates and Orioles games, farmers markets and boat days, and every time someone asks where you’re from. Worn in, lived in, and unapologetically Maryland.
Available in short sleeve and long sleeve.
