Got a lot of comments from fellow Marylanders while at an out of state beach so that was fun. These shorts are good quality, and do run true to size, so the small fits about a size 6 or below. Unfortunately returns are costly so be sure you get the correct size to begin with.

My grandsons both loved the md bathing suite -board shorts. They fit perfectly.

The swim trunks are a little see-through, but I know that my husband preferred the white ones over the black ones. The fabric feels nice, and it relatively soft. The waist size is correct based on the size chart in the diagram, and the drawstring pulls it back about an inch, so there is some leeway there. I lined up the shorts with a pair of 31 shorts that my husband has, and they are about an inch bigger when you lay it down flat.

Can see through the white fabric when it's wet, should have chosen the black pair instead.

Bought the XL for myself as I am a 34...shorts run small so I gave them to my teenager. He loves them. I am going to order a the 2XL for myself.

Great looking board shorts. The only issue I have was that the small size was a bit too long for me so I had to hem them to get a better fit.
