Fourth of July is tomorrow, people, and if you haven't stopped to think about where you're going to see fireworks here in Maryland, don't despair! We've got a list of places all over the state that you can go to catch a magical light display (and maybe even more) -- here's what we suggest.
Ocean City's Independence Day Celebration
Starts: 9:30 PM
Life's a beach, even on July 4! If you're headed to the shore's patriotic fire show, you'll get to enjoy music all evening long in the lead-up to the big event. Catch the lights and live music at the N. Division Street beach near the inlet or at 125th St uptown.
Howard County Fireworks Display
Starts: 9:20 PM
Columbia is playing host to a huge celebration, complete with food trucks and speakers! Bring a blanket and enjoy plenty of local food while you wait for the fireworks to go off. You can claim a spot as early as 3 pm.
Fire on the Mountain Fireworks Display in Deep Creek
Starts: 9:30 PM
Heading out west? Deep Creek Lake is the perfect place to enjoy your vacation time, and you can see the fireworks display all over, though if you really want a good view, you can check out their list of suggested viewing spots.
Starts: 9:15 PM
The fireworks themselves won't begin until dark, but there's so much to do in the Inner Harbor before then! Enjoy everything from street performers to DJs to patriotic performances along with all of the fun and food that the Inner Harbor always has to offer.
Bonus: July 4 National Mall Fireworks Display
Starts: 9:09 PM
Okay, we know, DC isn't Maryland, but it's just a Metro ride away! And if you're really looking to save a couple of bucks, keep in mind the Metro is free after 5 pm on July 4. The fireworks will be bursting over the National Mall's many monuments to the founding of this country in a truly patriotic display.
