No matter what time of year it is, you can see an incredible array of plants and flowers from all over the world! Step into different biomes and see the most gorgeous and unique things growing.
You don't need to travel to New York, Paris or London to see a collection of world-class art. In fact, you don't need to spend any money at all. Just head to Baltimore, where the free BMA has a massive collection of paintings, photos, sculptures, and performance pieces.
3. Ellicott City's Main Street
Okay, this is cheating a bit, since we know you'll be tempted to buy something. But you can still do plenty of window shopping on this historic street, and there's nothing better than spending time with friends without spending too much cash. Browse clothes, antiques, and much more.
Want to see bears, owls, bison, and turtles on display, all without paying a dime? The Salisbury Zoo is a free zoo that offers guests the opportunity to see amazing critters from all over the world!
5. Goddard Space Flight Center
Fascinated by all things spaceflight? You can learn more about how humans went to the moon and more at this free museum in Greenbelt! See exhibits and find out more about our place in the solar system without spending any money -- it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that's a good deal.
Music festivals don't have to be pricey. In fact, here in Maryland, you can listen to some local up and coming music acts at Canton Waterfront Park for completely free! Granted, you'll need to pay for things like food and beverages once you're in, but the music won't cost a dime. This festival will be back in June and will occur monthly throughout the summer.
7. National Cryptological Museum
Cracking codes and outsmarting spies is the theme of this museum that's part of the NSA. Head to Annapolis Junction to find out more if you're a lover of all things history and counter-intelligence. You can even see some real artifacts on display!
