As spring warms up, it's hard to not want to spend time out and about with a cutie! Maybe it's a new flame that you've just met, or maybe it's your loyal partner that you've been with forever. Maryland has plenty of springtime options for lovers who want to get out and have fun! Here are five ideas:
1. Have an old-fashioned drive-in date at the Bengies
Maybe your grandparents were onto something with this whole drive in movie thing. It's romantic, it's classic, and even if you don't love the movie, you can still spend quality time together.
2. Feed giraffes at the Maryland Zoo
If you and your date are both animal lovers, there's nothing better than getting to feed a giraffe right in your own backyard -- well, Baltimore, anyway. The Maryland zoo is full of cool critters and it makes a fantastic place to while a weekend day away with a cutie, but this will make it all the more memorable.
3. Enjoy a glass of wine at a winery
There are dozens of wineries all across the state, from big names to smaller, family-run spots, and there's sure to be one near you! Many of them also offer charcuterie pairings or have food trucks on standby so you can enjoy something to eat with your wine.
4. Get back to nature in Deep Creek Lake
Laid back nature lovers will love spending time getting closer at this Western Maryland getaway! Hike up to Swallow Falls together, or spend a sunny spring day kayaking or canoeing on the lake. Of course, Maryland springs can be nippy, so make the most of a hot tub or fire pit where you can cuddle.
5. Grab a baseball game together
If you're both more into beers than fancy cocktails and more into home runs than haute couture, an O's game at Camden Yards is ideal. What could be cuter than getting to know each other better over some hot dogs and popcorn? Plus, you'll get a ticket to save as a souvenir if it all goes well -- and maybe even an O's victory to cheer for together.
